Beautifully situated within a natural environment, this magnificent Cape Dutch style homestead dates from circa 1820 and offers diverse bird life, secluded cottages with tranquil views and traditionally designed accommodation. The spacious and luxurious rooms house fine antiques and authentic floors, some are under thatch and some contain fireplaces. There is a saltwater pool, sublime country cuisine and the wine route nearby. The picturesque town of Swellendam is only two hours from Cape Town and the Garden Route. Enjoy watching the birds from a peaceful bench at the water's edge where "hides" have been created, stroll to the gum trees at the top of the farm and for the more energetic, take the gravel road which leads to the Breede Rivier. Other activities can be arranged independently. Swellendam offers a range of sporting facilities including golf, glider flips and whale watching flights, as well as water sking.

Cancellation conditions
If cancelled up to 28 days before date of arrival, 25 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled up to 21 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, 75 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.

Children and Extra Bed Policy
Children older than 8 years are welcome. There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.

Deposit Policy
50 percent of the total amount will be charged at least 30 days prior to arrival and is refundable.
